A break that does not need a purpose
Even a coffee break can just be a coffee break.
A little everyday perspective.
A LITTLE LESS.
the kettle can wait.
Every pause seems to come with an offer: watch this, read that, answer something. Even waiting for the kettle has become a chance to catch up.
Here is a smaller experiment: let one ordinary pause stay empty. Look out of the window. Hear the room. Drink the coffee while it is still hot.
Maybe a thought appears. Maybe nothing does. You do not have to squeeze a useful result out of the moment.
The pause does not need a title, a streak, or a screenshot. It can belong entirely to you.
And if you spend it reading a tiny joke instead, that is allowed too. We are hardly in a position to complain.
